Rural Rites
Manifest was asked by the All-Party Parliamentary Middle Way Group to design a book which examines the unintended animal welfare and individual liberty issues arising from the Hunting Act.
The book, written by Charlie Pye-Smith and with an introduction by Peter Oborne, posits a view that the Act is illogical, unfair, difficult to enforce and detrimental to animal welfare in the countryside.
We designed the book to be small enough to fit into a coat pocket and used a combination of red and white to reference both the traditional colours of hunting participants and the blood involved which arouses opposition.
