American Express is the most recognised diversified financial services brand in the world and we are proud to have worked on over 27 individual brand and marketing communications projects with them.
In large organisations the cost of processing a single purchase order can be as much as £48 whether for a pencil or a laptop. American Express used its payment card processing expertise to develop the Corporate Purchasing Card as a purchasing solution to lower processing costs by up to 75%.
We were asked to create a product identity and design printed marketing collateral for the EU launch. Our approach was to take out the plastic; to talk about the benefits of re-engineering the purchasing process. We used a series of commissioned images, such as Charles Babbage’s calculating engines, to position the Corporate Purchasing Card as the next big step in managing and controlling large volume expenditure.
